Having a hard time commenting on blogger?

I recently switched over to blogger from xanga. On xanga I usually respond to people's comments on my blog, but for some reason on blogger i can't seem to do it. What I do usually is fill in the name box and then leave a comment and click post. My comment is never posted, what is going on? Is it not possible to comment on your own post?

You can comment on your own posts. You must be signed in first with your blogger or google account, then there is a drop down box on the comment form, choose comment as (Google Account). Believe me, blogger platform will surprise you. It is the most flexible platform that I know.
