Why do Blogger images choose their own place?

Everytime I put an image on blogger-it always automatically jumps to the top. This is very frustrating. I'm left having to cut and paste text around it, or readjust the HTML. This is not bad with a few images, but when there's a lot...phew. I figure this can't be the case for everyone.

Good Question..I have built websites in PHP and .NET.


PHP is very easy to learn and develop applications. Things thing I hate about PHP is that they dont have a full featured IDE and maintanence is a pain. When you finally have your site DONE and you want to make a design change it may take you weeks if not days to make a single change. The hosting costs for PHP is awesome even on dedicated servers compared to .NET. PHP execution times are fast and I have done many benchmark tests to compare PHP to .NET.





.NET on the other hand is a little bit harder to learn but once you learn it it can be much more enjoyable to develop applications then PHP. I currently use .NET to make my web applications now and i have been alot less stressed out -- I can make changes to the site very easy and does not require a team of developers. I will never go back to PHP because .NET the development time is very short and stressless. The IDE is expensive but in the long run you will definitly get your investment back. .NET has built-in caching which makes it blazing fast and most of the time faster then PHP.

Login to your Dashboard. Then go to POSTING -- EDIT POSTS. Click on Edit of the post you want to "send in history" (at the bottom)them. You just have to change the date of the post.


The Posts Editor opens with its two modes: Edit HTML and Compose. You have to be in Compose mode, and there, on the bottom of the dialog box, there's a link 'Post Options'.


Click on it to, and In the expanded options you can change the Posts Date and time...just date it back.








There's also an option for "Sticky Post" if you want a particular post always to be the first post. There's a defaul option in Add Gadgets for that, or just set the date to any time as far in the future as it will allow it to be set....after publishing the post, of course.....

It's true, Google Adsense doesn't pay out untill you've reached 100$. This can take a few months, but also only a few days, or hours, depending on how popular your blog is...


As for failing to pay: no, Google always pays correctly. What often happens is that people try to trick the system, clicking their own ads and stuff. If Google finds out, and they mostly do find out, the account is closed, and the earned money goes back to the advertisers (as this is the only honest thing to do in fact).

This was a tough one as I never had to upload a file in m4a. But found the way to post on Blogger.





- Open an account on blip.tv (http://blip.tv).


- Upload your .m4a file to your account.


- After upload it done, you will be redirected to Thank You page click on "Copy %26amp; Paste Add this video to your blog or your website"


- Under "Where do you want to put the video?" Select "Legacy Player"


- Click on "Show Advanced Option" button/link


In advanced option


- For "Mode" select anything besides "Show Player" (show player works only with .flv). I selected pop-up player as it will open the player in new window and your visitor will be on the same page where s/he clicked the link.


- For "Preferred format" select MPEG4 Audio (mostly it would be last option)


In "Click To Play Text: " You can type whaterver you want. e.g. you can have default "click to play" or if it is a file name like xyz song you may add "to play xyz click here". This will work as link/button to start playing your file.


- You can change player width and player height if you want. I kept it 0 as I was opening the player in new window.


- Click on "Update copy and paste code" button.


- Copy the code just above advanced option button.





Now go and open login to your blogger account.





Click on the post you want to create. ( you need to have basic understanding of HTML coding. If you dont know ask someone who you know who can guide you).





- Click on create post if it is new OR on edit post if it is existing post.


- By default you should be under "compose" tab, where you write your blog. There should be "Edit HTML" link next to "Compose". Click on that.


- Now paste the code (which you have copied from blip.tv) where you want the link to be appear.


- Save the post


- Click on preview to see if it works ok (and it should.. )


- If it is working ok, click Publish post..





and BAMN! you are up and running... you have successfully added m4a file to your Blogger's blog post.

You don't - you create them in your mind first - the art and the code. Then you use Photoshop to draw the artwork and you use Dreamweaver (or Notepad) to type the code. Site design is done in your head - you only start running programs after you have the design finished.

Instead of following the steps given in cbox site (for blogger.com). Here's a better way of doing it.





Step 1. Login to blogger and click on "layout"


Step 2. Click on "Template"


Step 3. Click on "Add a Page Element"


Step 4. Choose " HTML/JavaScript". Type in the title and paste the html code from cbox in the content box. Then save the changes.





This steps gives you the flexibility to move the cbox element anyway in the template.
